Our Treatment Philosophy

Connection—to ourselves and to others—is what makes us feel whole. Humans cannot thrive in isolation. We crave intimate belonging and we deserve it in healthy, fulfilling ways. Take a moment and ask yourself: “Where are the spaces that make me feel like my most authentic self and where I truly belong?”; “How do I connect with others who make me feel safe and worthy?”; “Who in my life wants me to flourish?”. The answers to these questions reveal the spaces that give us the stability and safety we require to prosper in health.

The suffering of mental illness transpires when the connection between ourselves and the relationships, spaces, and experiences that anchor us in a sense of security and stability fractures. Fractures of connection to our sources of wellbeing can be disruptive, inconvenient, and dangerous. Reclaiming these spaces of safety is difficult, and often the struggle to do so can feel intolerable or even hopeless. The desperation to return to “normal” after a fracture brings unremitting worry. Shame at our inability to produce such a pathway back can bring isolation and anger, further shutting us off and increasing our detachment from our once-secure connections.

In these moments of disconnection, when a fracture feels so permanent that repair seems impossible, a new journey towards health can begin. Confluence Mind and Motion is here to walk with you during this opportunity. The pathway to reconnect you to the love and safety of those essential bonds you’ve lost is within reach. Our work with you will build a pathway that is dependable, accessible and meaningful. The process is not always comfortable and it almost always involves forgiveness, but with trust and empathy there is no limit to how you may grow.

Thank you for taking the time to explore our webpage. You are here because a brave part of yourself is curious about accessing the love and affirmation you deserve. We are happy you’re here because you are you.
