I’m a therapist and specialize in trauma work; I am committed to supporting children, teens and parents in having healthy relationships, communication strategies and emotional regulation skills. My work focuses on reprocessing emotions, examining core beliefs and a deeper kind of healing. After hearing about you, your story and your hopes for the therapeutic process, we will create a collaborative plan that intentionally addresses the root of your concerns. I aim to provide human-centered and trauma-informed care; sessions with me will always be a safe, compassionate space for LGBTQIA+ folks and their loved ones.
My perspective on healing is highly influenced by attachment theory (John Bowlby), the growing body of research on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Epigenetics; how trauma’s effects are passed from generation to generation. I pull from a range of modalities including TF-CBT, Somatic Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, the Attachment Regulation and Competency (ARC) Framework, Feminist Therapy and Art Therapy to formulate an eclectic yet effective therapeutic approach. Through identifying any unresolved hurt, unaddressed grief or experiences that impacted negatively self-worth, we can carve out a path towards healing.
I love working with adolescents and children and have extensive experience doing so; I’ve worked with kids as young as 18 months! I provide both individual and family therapy – we can determine together the best approach to meet your needs. Recently, I’ve expanded my area of specialty to include reproductive/fertility trauma and perinatal mental health issues. I am passionate about supporting individuals in their unique relationship with parenthood including miscarriage survivors, IUI and IVF warriors, adoptive parent(s) or women facing perinatal depression/anxiety. If any of these situations describes you – please know you do not have to face this alone.
I’d be happy to connect to answer any questions you may have about therapy, my approach or how to find the right therapist for you. Reach out when you’re ready to take that next step towards true healing and growth.
